Dr. Polapragada Bhaskara Rama Murti, was the son of Sri Polapragada Kamaraju Karanam of Kykolu village, Pedapudi mandal, Eastgodavari district, and wife Srimathi Achutamma and both were, an orthodox couple from a reputedly well sustained family, of a good agricultural back ground.They were of Kaundinyasa gothram.

Dr. Murti was the child amongst 8 children that were 3 sons and 5 daughters, to his parents. They were Sri. 1.Ramamurty ,2.Jaggaraju, 3.Venkayamma, 4.Bangaramma, 5.Rangamma, 6.Chittemma, 7.Ramanamma, and 8.Bhaskara Ramamurti. Dr. Murti was the 8th child and last born. All of them were greatly lived and now are no more. The order of births given and names are subjected to correction by any known persons please.

The reverend Hindu God, Guru garu of Vedurupaka village, was Dr. Murti’s mother, Polapragada Achutamma’s, nephew’s son. Advocate Sri Polapragada Krishnarao, Kakinada was the son of Sri Apparao garu the Karanam of Aratlakatta village near Karakuduru whose grandfather and Dr. PBR Murti’s grandfather Ramamurti garu were cousin brothers.

Dr. Murti was born on 11/11/1911, with Punarvasu star, at Thokaada village at his mother’s father Sri Vadrevu Jaggaraju and wife Sri Bangaramma. The strange coincidence was, one of Dr. Polapragada Bhaskara Ramamurti’s grandsons that exactly named after Dr. Murti, is also a Punarvasu birth star born.
